The Project Brief

The client requested a raised patio area that would serve as a comfortable seating space whilst seamlessly blending with their garden's existing character. They wanted a modern look that would work harmoniously with the adjoining walls and garden steps, creating a cohesive outdoor environment.

Design & Material Selection

Our team selected Indian Sandstone pavers for this project, chosen specifically for their natural beauty and durability. The pavers featured a stunning mix of autumn browns, greens, grey, and terracotta tones, perfectly complementing the colours of the adjoining wall and the steps leading down to the garden below.

To create visual interest and a contemporary feel, we used a variety of square and rectangular pavers in different sizes. This mixed size approach allowed us to develop a modern pattern that added character to the space whilst maintaining a sophisticated appearance.

One of the standout features of this installation was the thoughtful finishing touches. We incorporated smaller square slabs around the top step, creating an elegant frame that provided a subtle yet impactful detail. This technique added definition to the transition between the patio and the garden steps, demonstrating how small design elements can make a significant difference to the overall finish.

Practical Considerations
